The LoofCo Root Vegetable Scrubber is a natural and eco-friendly way to clean muddy vegetables. Handmade in Egypt from the Loofah Aegyptiaca plant, each scrubber is created from a tapered 11.5cm slice of loofah gourd, chosen for its more aerated texture which makes it perfect for scrubbing root vegetables. A practical cotton hanging loop allows the scrubber to dry quickly between uses.

Designed to replace synthetic plastic brushes, this loofah scrubber is plant-based, biodegradable, and compostable when worn out. As each piece is made from natural loofah, slight variations in size and shape may occur.

When dry, the scrubber feels firm and abrasive, but once immersed in water it swells into a soft, flexible pad that fits comfortably in your hand. Simply use with water on wet potatoes, carrots, parsnips and other root vegetables to gently lift away soil and debris without damaging the skin.
